"Without the
demonstration video, we never would have made the sale," said
Ralph Miller, Vice President of General Lasertronics Corporation of
Milpitas, California.
General Lasertronics Corporation
(GLC) designs and manufactures industry leading laser-based coatings
removal systems. Much of their past business came from
government contracts and before U.S. Government or military officials
view the laser live, they are sent a video produced by Bentley
Broadcast Associates. Eventually, they do see a live demonstration,
but for it's latest sale to a Japanese industrial firm, the video was
instrumental to the Japanese firms decision to purchase the system.
Putting a laser on a plane or a truck and taking it to the
client may seem like a great idea, it's not exactly cost effective.
Being able to ship a videotape to the Japanese company, who is
working with their Department of Defense, made perfect sense.
The video showing the actual coating removal process in real time
gives potential buyers solid proof of the technologies usefulness.
The latest video project
is a DVD with 4 different video clips including a brief history of
the technology.
